A memorial site dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh was
inaugurated on June 11 2014 in Savannakhet province, Laos.
Covering around 1,000 square metres in Kaysone Phomvihan
district, construction of the site started in May 2013 with a
total investment of LAK 2.4 billion (US$300,000) financed by the
Kayson Phomvihan Museum.
The construction is the second of
its kind built to commemorate the great Vietnamese leader, who
lived and worked in Laos from 1928–29. The first site was built
two years earlier in Xiangvang village, Nongbouk district,
Khammuoan province. |
