The born place of revolutionist Chen Yun in the Liantang Town of
Qingpu District has already been turned into Qingpu Revolution
History Memorial Hall. The party’s Central Committee has
appointed the Hall to present the biography of Chen Yun
systematically.The Memorial Hall covers an area of 52 mu and is
situated between the main river of the District and the Xitang
Harbor. The Hall is constructed with a local residential style
complemented by characteristics of modern memorial buildings.
The appearance of the Hall is simple and solemn. The main hall
is as tall as 14 meters and has three floors (two floors on the
ground, one floor under the ground) of which the building area
is 5500 square meters. The Hall has employed a set of modern
measures to facilitate its exhibition. The four exhibition rooms
on the first and the second floor use photos, literatures and
concrete objects to give a focused presentation of the life of
Chen Yun with a time order. In the underground floor, the
exhibition shows how the people of Qingpu made achievements in
the socialist revolution and construction under the leadership
of Chinese Communist Party. |
