Century Avenue is the main arterial road that runs through
Shanghai's financial district.
Among the famous buildings that line the roadway are the
Jin Mao Tower, the 101 story World Financial Center and the
Shanghai Science and Technology Museum.
The Shanghai Stock Exchange, Oriental Pearl TV Tower and
the Lujiazui Green Space are located near Century Avenue in the
Pudong District of Shanghai.
Along the Century Avenue, sculptures on the subject of
Time are on display to emphasize on the meaning of
trans-century. The huge sculpture named "Oriental Light" at the
crossing of the Yanggao Rd. and the sculptures of the ancient
timing instruments such as "Time of the Day" and "Wu Xing" make
the Century Avenue the only urban sculptures exhibition on the
subject of Time all over the world. |
