Description: |

Chongming Xisha Wetland, with a total area of 300 hectares, is
located at the extreme southwest of Chongming Island and the
outside of Taoyuan Waterland of Luhua Town and Mingzhu Lake
Levee. It is currently the only natural wetland characterized by
the natural tidal phenomenon and tracts of tidal flat and forest
land, the experiment site of wetland-oriented ecological
restoration initiated by the Science and Technology Commission
of Shanghai Municipality, and also the location of the monument
of Chongming Island National Geopark. |
