Mingzhu Lake Park is located in the southwest of Chongming
Island, with only one bank separated from the Yangtze River.
With an area of 10 square kilometers, the park was established
based on Mingzhu Lake, the greatest natural lake on Chongming
Island. With an area of
2 square kilometers, the deep and clear lake boasts its
luxuriant lakeside trees and spectacular views. The supporting
service facilities include speeding boats, lakeside snacks,
cafes, the breeding experiment site and exhibition pavilion for
rare resources in the estuary of the Yangtze River, fishing
boats, the picking garden for agriculture sightseeing and
recreation. Around the
park stand the natural and vast Xisha Wetland, the bright
Taoyuan Waterland with the 10-thousand-mu orange garden, the
Xisha Mansion and Xilai Grange which imitate the architecture
styles of Ming and Qing Dynasties and show the local culture.
With these rich resources, Mingzhu Lake Park will eventually be
built into a comprehensive and multifunctional tourist
attraction which integrates recreation, vocation, scientific
education, business and meetings. It will be a shining pearl on
Chongming Island. |
