Inside Lin Jiang Park is the 3-story Shanghai Songhu
Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall dedicated to the August-November
1937 SIno-Japanese battle for Shanghai. Atop the hall is a
four-sided tower with glass windows that can be ascended by
elevator to the 10th floor for views of Yangzi River and
surrounding area. The tower and hall were both opened to the
public on 28 January 2000. You can see the tower from far away
in the distance as you approach along the waterfront promenade
from the Baoyang Ferry Dock. |
